Job Description
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated college graduate who is interested in a unique entry level opportunity as a quality engineer within our engineering organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills to assist in developing the overall testing strategy. This position also provides the opportunity to partner with more senior project members to assist in development of testing scripts and automation.
Job Responsibilities
? Responsible for quality of assigned area; executing unit and integration plans for specific components.
? Captures data needed for metrics.
? Learns and internalizes methodology & recommends improvements.
? Becomes proficient at ensuring the quality of product deliverables from Construction Phase forward.
? Requires problem-solving skills to resolve varied problems. Requires decision-making skills to make procedural decisions.
? Provide regular status and progress towards milestones with ones manager.
? Work under the guidance of more senior project members to gain experience, understanding, and expertise necessary to complete assigned tasks.
? Becomes familiar with industry developments via trade journals, conferences, or educational opportunities.
Job Requirements
? Bachelor?s Degree or Equivalent in Information Systems or Quality; or related discipline.
? Basic understanding of design, coding and testing techniques.
? Basic knowledge of PCs, hardware, software, operating systems and database management systems.
? Knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and mobile compatibility issues.
? Requires organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met.
? At least some intern or similar experience in software design, engineering or web development.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
? Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented person who places a high priority on accuracy.
