Associate Scientist Numira Biosciences

Position Summary:

The Company seeks an experienced professional to assume the role of Associate Scientist, specializing in behavioral research. This is a full-time position based in Bothell, WA.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a good sense of experimental design, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability and desire to work independently, within a team, and across lines of service. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand, write, and follow protocols are vital to this position.

A background in rodent handling procedures and behavioral testing are necessary, and dosing, sample collection, husbandry, and surgical experience is a plus.

Candidate must be willing to have a flexible work schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays. Some travel may be required.

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

Bachelors Degree in the biological sciences with 2+ years of related laboratory experience or Associates Degree or Veterinary Technician certification with 4+ years related laboratory experience
Small animal handling/restraint experience
Behavioral research/testing experience and familiarity with common behavioral assays
Experience using common software programs such as Microsoft Office
Experience writing and/or following scientific protocols
Experience with detailed recordkeeping such as laboratory notebooks

Desirable candidate qualifications in addition to the above:

Small animal dosing and sample collection via various routes
Small animal surgical experience
Aseptic technique
Statistical analysis experience
Contract research experience
GLP experience
Equivalent education and experience will be considered
