Associate Scientist Passport Systems

The associate scientist will be part of a small scientific team and will work closely with the engineering and software teams to design, develop and test the scanner. The candidate will be expected to work with good scientific practices, and communicate results in clear, concise, and comprehensive presentations / reports. The scientist's responsibilities will include assisting in the specification, design and testing of various scanner subsystems.
Desired qualifications include:

BS/MS/PhD Physics or Nuclear Engineering; expertise in the interaction of radiation with matter and experience with photon and neutron detector arrays

Experience performing, analyzing and documenting experiments

The candidate should have the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
Additional Desired Experience:

Experience with photon or neutron detectors and data acquisition electronic

Knowledge of high energy electron beam technologies

Knowledge of image processing algorithms

Software development experience preferably in C/C++ or Matlab in an industrial setting is desirable

Ability to travel is desirable.
