Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will report to the Associate Director of Pharmacology and his/hers responsibilities will be:
? Conduct in vivo efficacy evaluations of anti-infectious compounds on established infectious animal models.
? Conduct or help developing new animal infectious models.
? Conduct or help with Pharmacokinetics (PK) experiments in mice and rats (plasma and tissue PK) and PK data analysis.
? Conduct or help toxicology study in mice and rats.
? Conduct in vitro microbiology assay (MIC test), cell biology or cytotoxicity assay.
Job Assignments/Technical Competencies
? Must be enthusiastic and highly motivated on pharmacology, microbiology, virology, and/or biochemistry
? Experience of In Vivo Pharmacokinetics (PK) and Pharmacodynamics (PD) study in mice and rats.
? Ability to design experiments and interpret in vivo efficacy and PK results.
? At least 2-3 year hands-on in vivo model development in infectious disease research area; experience with mouse protection tests and pulmonary infection models in mice and rats.
? Tissue culture skills for maintenance of mammalian cell lines.
? Familiar with protein binding, microsomal metabolism and cytotoxicity is a plus.
Qualifications
? MS in Pharmacology, Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related field with more than 2-3 year of hands on experience of in vivo laboratory experiments or BS with 4-5 yearrs of in vivo industry experience.
? Microbiology background with infectious diseases experience.
? Biology, cell biology, pharmacology and animal anatomy knowledge.
