Axeda is looking for a talented, up-and-coming Software Engineer to join our high caliber R&D team. In this role you will be a contributing player on the Developer Experience team which is focused on designing and implementing the next generation of tools and platform APIs enabling developers to create innovative M2M solutions on our Platform. Empowering the developer means you?ll help to augment our existing toolset as well as be part of designing new tools targeted at making it even easier to develop elegant and sustainable solutions on the Axeda platform. The position will require you to think like a developer using our platform and your voice will have direct impact on helping make our Platform better.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Develop and implement the next generation of tools and platform APIs
Design new software tools targeted at making it even easier to develop elegant and sustainable solutions on the Axeda platform
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:
Technical:
Fundamental programming knowledge
Familiarity with Java
Experience with any other object oriented language ? C++/Python/Groovy/C#/Ruby
Familiarity with the software development life cycle from authoring code to testing to continuous integration
Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server
Familiarity with any commonly used frameworks or APIs such as (but not limited to)
Hibernate
Maven / Ant / Gradle
Apache CXF / Axis / Restlet
Log4J
Linked in / Facebook / Twitter APIs
Social:

Required Education & Experience:
BS Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
