We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team and learn Empirix Network Monitoring Systems, Business Analytics, and Enterprise Solutions Carrier. The qualified candidate will provide phone support ? 1st level technical end-user support for the customers? and field technicians? questions and issues regarding product installations, everyday use, and configuration.
Skilled in supporting clients or technical support of IP networks or telecommunications.
Good knowledge and/or project experience with telecommunications and/or networking equipment ? knowledge, understanding, and practical application of technologies, protocols, and related standards including routers and switches, Ethernet, WAN, etc.
Experience in VOIP a plus ? working knowledge of one or more of the following VOIP protocols, and their associated standards; SIP, H.323, a working knowledge of ISDN and SS7 protocols a plus.
Proficient in Linux/Unix and windows
Demonstrated troubleshooting and technical problem solving of network protocols, and professional telephone presence is required
Required Education and Experience:
BS in CIS, or Telecommunications, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent
