The Associate Web Designer is a talented individual eager to join buuteeq's UX team in creating amazing experiences for independent hotels and their customers. He or she successfully supports product and marketing teams with creative design solutions, graphic production and light front-end development.
Responsibilities
Creating Web graphics, user interfaces, icons, style sheets, templates, and layouts for use in product development and customer-facing marketing communications.
Analyzing customer workflows and creating specs and wireframes.
Creating photoshop comps from the guidance in specs, wireframes, and style guides.
Doing occasional identity/logo work for customers.
Doing occasional light development work in html and css.
Collaborating to develop concepts and execute solutions.
Working independently and maintaining clear and frequent communication.
Requirements
BA from four year university or equivalent
3+ years professional design experience
A clean, modern design sensibility, with user-centered focus
A command of typography, color, composition, hierarchy, and an understanding of how these elements work together for a design solution.
Ability to create multiple and iterative solutions that meet business and communication objectives.
Fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
Proficiency in HTML5/CSS3 and responsive design
Interest in and knowledge of current web and mobile design best practices
A strong understanding of user-centered design and navigation structures
Experience in designing responsive CMS templates in Wordpress or Joomla desired
Experience with less or other css frameworks desired
Knowledge of HTML Email templates desired
Use of Oxford comma preferred but not required
