We are seeking an Attorney Community Manager for our West Coast operation; based in San Francisco.
What We?re Looking For
The Attorney Community Manager will be responsible for four major areas: Attorney Professional Development, Community Building, Human Resources and serving as an information liaison between the Axiom Attorney population and the Axiom business team on the West Coast. This is a critical role with a direct and immediate impact on maintaining our attorney value proposition and serving clients on the West Coast. The Attorney Community Manager will work closely with the Attorney Recruiting & Development and Practice Management Teams and will report directly to the Director of Attorney Recruiting & Development, West Coast.
The Community Manager will:
Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing Axiom Attorneys by offering them a introduction to our business model and attorney value proposition;
Develop trusted relationships with each Axiom Attorney based on the West Coast;
Conduct regular check-ins with Axiom Attorneys to gauge satisfaction with their Axiom career and current engagement;
Provide Axiom Attorneys performance feedback from clients, as appropriate and alongside the Practice Management team, on both a periodic and annual basis;
Lead strategic initiatives (such as facilitating professional development opportunities, planning and coordinating special events, and providing training to attorneys, etc.);
Develop a deep understanding of the skills, practice areas, seniority and industry experience of the Axiom Attorneys within various practice areas;
Partner with Practice Management to calibrate supply and demand challenges and provide insight into the attorney bench for fulfillment needs;
Keep fully updated on current state of the market, law firm and in-house hiring trends; and
Work alongside other Axiom offices and departments, including Practice Management, Marketing, Finance, and Information Technology to ensure seamless coordination within Axiom.

5+ years of professional experience within a law firm, consulting or similar professional services firm or in a Human Resources department;
Highly persuasive communication skills (both verbal and written);
The ability to effectively assess attorneys? skills and interests to help them meet their professional development goals;
Demonstrable ability to coach, mentor, teach and develop others;
The ability to assess attorneys? continued fit, ability and commitment to the Axiom model;
The poise and maturity to interact with senior level, highly experienced lawyers and/or clients, including the confidence and sensitivity to deliver tough or constructive feedback;
An appetite for and commitment to innovation, trying new things, soliciting input, synthesizing ideas and taking action;
Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills;
High-level organizational skills, together with the ability to operate in an often high-pressured and fast-paced environment;
Experience working with and supporting internal functions to achieve regional goals;
Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint);
Experience using Workday, Bullhorn and Open Air preferred; and
Bachelor?s degree required.
