Attorney Epocrates, Inc.

Primary Responsibilities
-Customer facing individual contributor accountable for supporting Epocrates' commercial sales businesses
-Drafts applicable templates and forms used to build standard sales agreements
-Customizes drafts as required to support sales strategies and long term customer relationships
-Leads Epocrates' customer negotiation team in all matters of commercial business
-Counsels and trains the sales organization on contractual matters associated with commercial business transactions
-Develops and maintains a contract management system consisting of policies and processes for the appropriate disposition and archival of contract documents
-Works with product groups to draft terms and conditions which maximize market opportunity while managing risk of new products being introduced for sale
-Ensure sales organization compliance to applicable commercial industry laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Prior experience with pharma, biotech, and/or life sciences industry regulatory concerns
-Thorough understanding of software and online services business models including licensing, subscription, portal, and SaaS with online fulfillment
-Impeccable oral and written communication skills
-Ability to translate business goals into sales agreements
-Ability to translate business requirements into workflow
-Demonstrated success in leading change and compliance in a cross functional, highly demanding, and decentralized organization
-Ability to manage a high volume of competing priorities with integrity, accuracy, and precision in the process as well as the outcome
Qualifications, Education
-BS degree in business, technology, or science field required
-JD strongly preferred
-Relevant experience with a software, technology, internet, digital media, or online services company
-5+ years of commercial contracts management experience
