We are seeking an Attorney Recruitment and Community Manager for our Atlanta office.
This individual will be responsible for recruiting attorneys for all practice areas for the Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC offices and will manage the portfolio of Axiom attorneys for these locations and act as their first point of contact for all matters during their career.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for:
Responsible for recruiting all practices areas (including Corporate, Government Contracts, Commercial Contracts, Regulatory & Compliance, Privacy, Asset Management, Labor & Employment, Litigation) to the Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC Axiom practices
Source active and passive candidates through various resources including: networking, research, internal databases, and employee referrals
Establish effective working relationships with office Practice Management teams to understand their business plans and recruit the insourcing attorney talent necessary to grow Axiom?s business
Interview and assess candidates for all practice areas
Draft job postings, review resumes, manage candidate relationships, set compensation, conduct offer negotiations, manage diligence and conduct reference calls for all practice areas
Participate in weekly and ad hoc office-wide meetings on potential client opportunities and state of the business, and maintain constant communication with Practice Management on closing client opportunities
Develop a deep understanding of the skills needed across a variety of job functions and build proactive pipelines for particularly hard-to-fill roles
Coordinate with colleagues across Axiom and in particular on the East Coast in Attorney Recruiting and Attorney Community roles
Partner with Practice Management and Marketing on recruiting campaigns and events
Conduct quarterly in-person check-ins with all Axiom attorneys in Atlanta and DC offices
Manage and conduct the annual review process for all Atlanta and DC attorneys
Manage and execute local attorney community initiatives (i.e. onboarding program, mentorship program)
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years of professional services recruiting experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Legal recruiting experience strongly preferred
Ability to travel bi-weekly to the Atlanta or Washington, DC office (25%)
Experience in talent sourcing and proactive recruiting
Strong ability to assess talent and fit for Axiom, sell our attorney value proposition, and undertake complex compensation negotiations with sophisticated attorneys
Exceptional poise, confidence, maturity and business judgment
Strong verbal communication skills, with a gift for engaging ?not in play? candidates
Ability to identify larger strategic problems within a search and course-correct as needed with minimal oversight
Willingness to roll up sleeves and a ?get it done? mentality
Identification with and connection to Axiom?s core values
Bachelor degree required.
J.D. strongly preferred
