We are seeking an Attorney Development Associate to join our Chicago office to assist with the recruitment and support of our Attorneys in the Chicago metropolitan area.
The Associate plays an integral role in the overall success of the company and our ability to expand our business. Not only will you be afforded a high degree of independence, but the opportunity to work with an amazing group of fun and talented people.
The Associate will:
Manage multiple aspects of the attorney recruiting process, including screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting diligence and overseeing orientation.
Serve as the initial point of contact with new and existing attorneys by offering them a short introduction to our business model and attorney value proposition and developing relationships with them.
Analyze client demand and manage our lawyer hiring strategy based on practice area, experience level, and geography.
Maintain our database of lawyers, and prepare weekly reports on various recruiting and community metrics.
Research and analyze attorney compensation packages.
Assist with strategic initiatives (such as facilitating professional development opportunities, planning and coordinating special events, etc.)
Work with other Axiom offices and departments, including Practice Management, Marketing, Finance, and Information Technology to ensure seamless coordination within the Axiom Headquarters team.
Our ideal candidate:
A college graduate with 2+ years of professional experience and an interest in the legal industry and/or human resources. This is a position for someone who loves to connect with people, exhibits outstanding judgment and professionalism, possesses excellent analytical skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are maniacally detail-oriented, extremely analytical, enjoy running with new initiatives, and are comfortable managing projects independently. While not a pure legal recruiting role, this position requires the confidence to contact and interact with experienced professionals and speak to them about what we do in a credible and compelling way.
Experience and Qualifications
Has at least 2 years of professional experience, preferably with prior experience that demonstrates comfort in communicating with sophistication and confidence;
Has high-impact presentation skills;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Has project management skills and pays meticulous attention to detail;
Innate ability to build relationships;
A tremendous amount of initiative, multi-tasking and organizational skills;
Superb time management, decision-making and problem solving skills;
Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint);
Thrives in both individual and team environments;

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Undergraduate degree is required. Top-tier college or university strongly preferred.
