Role
Reporting to the VP, Partnerships and Community & Operations Associate, the Audience Development & Distribution Intern will be responsible for critical ground-level tasks that will add direct value to the audience development and partnership functions of the company.
She or he will assist in a variety of aspects of user acquisition, audience retention, partner management and the distribution of Howcast content. We currently distribute content online, on mobile devices, in the home and elsewhere through top tier partners including YouTube, Hulu, Yahoo, Apple's App Store, MSN, Aol, FiOS, and many more.
Day-to-day responsibilities also include:
Implementation of specific community or distribution based projects that will need to be completed during the internship.
Assisting Howcast's efforts to build audience on each of our distribution partners' platforms - YouTube especially!
Develop and implement social media strategies on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ to increase Howcast's audience base.
Assisting in partner management by managing, analyzing and programming the Howcast channel on various partners' pages (track feature videos, change featured videos, gathering and examining analytics etc.)
Assist in content delivery to our partners by learning and optimizing delivery mechanisms (feeds or consoles).
Brainstorming ideas and implementing tactics to drive revenue & playbacks including the creation and management of compelling sales materials tailored to distribution partners ad sales efforts.

Willingness to learn
Keen attention to detail and organization skills
Strong written and inter-personal communication skills - you will be working across teams and time zones (we have offices in New York City and San Francisco)
Candidate should be web savvy and able to perform tasks on the web easily
Candidate should be comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Candidate should have a knowledge of social media networks
A knowledge of online, broadcast & mobile distribution channels preferred
A knowledge of social media channels is preferred (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, etc.)
Requirements
Candidates should be:
a full-time university student
available to work at least:
Fall/Spring terms: 2 full days or 3 part time days a week
Summer semesters: 4 days a week
