Position Description: As an audience development strategist, you will help to design and strategically build audience for our Revision3 YouTube Channels. You will devise and execute a strategy to grow viewership and an engaged subscriber base by working with all aspects of audience development, including product development, marketing, search engine optimization, social media marketing, data analysis and user research.
With previous online video experience combined with your deep expertise in growing audiences and knowledge of online trends, you will set best practices for audience development. You will circulate knowledge and work directly with show teams to help them grow their audience. You're a problem solver by nature and your strategic thinking skills will be critical in devising new tactics and turning data into actionable information to both enhance content and viewer optimization and influence product development. You are someone who is a self-starter, intellectually curious and able to think with both sides of the brain. You are comfortable working in a results-driven environment, able to multi-task, social media savvy, online video is of extreme interest, and you want to be part of an innovative team that is forging new ground and redefining the world of media.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute audience development optimization plans for select Revision3 channels and content
Ability to develop strategic, systematic processes to develop the desired audience target
Successfully manage multiple YouTube channels to determine best strategies, systems and processes
Foster collaborations and contests to develop an engaged community
In partnership with the optimization strategist, analyze and interpret data, define viewership patterns and growth metrics, and deliver recommendations based on data
Create and present best practices to hosts and show teams and provide key YouTube focused trainings, seminars and workshops
Help develop key strategies and new product features for audience optimization
Work cross functionally with production, marketing, social media and insights team members to execute on audience development initiatives synergistically
Qualifications:
3-5 years in related experience in audience development, online video, and social media
Experience at either YouTube or another online internet television studio that closely partners with YouTube
Demonstrated ability to drive viewership and online growth
Excellent analytical and written/spoken communication skills. Ability to lead meetings
Ability to work independently and as a team player with strong partner relationship skills
Knowledge and experience in online video and a desire to redefine how people discover and consume content
