Audience Development Manager Wetpaint

Wetpaint is looking for a smart, innovative, strategic thinker to help drive our social distribution strategy. As a manager within the Audience Development team, this role will primarily focus on managing the rollout of our proprietary technology across key partner brands but will also help drive a larger and more engaged audience within Wetpaint?s branded social media channels (primarily Facebook and Twitter today). The position will be that of coach and player ? you will help design Wetpaint?s strategic approach to social media for partners; manage and grow (both in ability and in size) the existing team to deliver results; and direct parts of our social experimentation system, occasionally rolling?up your sleeves to operate specific channels.
Innovation is a critical pillar of our success and, as such, will be an important part of this role driving experimentation across Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest and whatever other ideas you have. Get ready to dig into the world of social media!
Primary Responsibilities
Drive significant social growth for partner brands who license the Wetpaint social system
Oversee implementation of the Wetpaint system and IP for licensed media partners
Drive testing and learning within partner operations to help them drive social results
Brainstorm, plan and analyze fan growth initiatives across several pages managed by partners
Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders inside partner brands
Develop and grow the partner audience development team
Work with each individual team member to further harness their skills and develop new ones
Build new responsibilities and projects into team resourcing plans
Recruit and train new team members
Help manage and develop Wetpaint?s existing social channels and new channel growth initiatives
Contribute to strategies for fan acquisition, social distribution and new channel exploration
Execute specific elements of Wetpaint?s overall social strategy (e.g. manage fan pages, Twitter handles, etc.)
Require Skills and Experience
1-3 years of strategy, business analysis or marketing experience with demonstrable history of managing small teams is -required-. Other critical skill areas:
Highly analytical ? having a strong desire to know the numbers and dig deeper for insights is important
Team leader ? be prepared to guide the team?s areas of focus to hit results and be able to discuss career paths too
