Jawbone?s Audio Product Manager will define and innovate a new generation of software products and hardware around Bluetooth Headsets and Communications that will fundamentally change the way people consume audio content and communicate.
As a Product Manager you will be expected to define a product from a user's perspective, why they care and then carry and evangelize that vision throughout the development and marketing process. You will work across talented functional teams as well as in close collaboration with our partners.
You will be accountable for the successful launch of a new breed of connected devices and cloud experiences that will transform the way we consume media, communicate and ultimately how we relate to technology in our lives.
Support Product Definition ? Conceive, vet and socialize new features and product ideas that fit within the defined product direction. Develop detailed requirements and share with other teams in the organization.
Communicate Use Cases ? Determine and illustrate how users will interact with products, and demonstrate how proposed features will make products relevant and compelling to users. Identify and advocate user needs
Develop Business Cases ?Calculate the strategic and economic value for hardware and software initiatives.
Analyze Competitive Landscape ? Follow competitive offerings and identify technology trends.
Manage initiatives throughout a full product lifecycle ? Work closely with engineering, user experience team, marketing and sales to deliver great products into the market.
Drive, integrate and communicate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure a smooth and overall program success from initial concept to launch (including development, operations, sales, marketing, and field analysis teams).
Define and track key launch requirements and activities and work with marking teams and agencies as needed.
Develop and manage multiple project schedules, identify dependencies, risks and communicate them to key stakeholders
Define problem solving / risk mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution and foster an environment of cooperation that allows the best ideas to come through
Synthesize large amounts of data into clear and concise reports to keep product management, stakeholders and executives well informed in a timely manner
Track post-release performance and customer feedback.
Support Partner Relationships ? Interface with partners to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Foster a collaborative relationship that ensures alignment across both companies
B.A., B.S. or equivalent degree
3 years of high-tech industry experience with track record of hands-on product management, program management experience in consumer tech (web, electronics, mobile)
Is detail oriented and highly organized
Has successfully managed complex projects / program with a set of deliverables with many interdependencies
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Experience with business planning and ROI tracking
Additional Desired Skills and Qualifications:
M.B.A. a plus
Travel may be required for this position but is held to the minimum possible.
