Position Details
The Audio Tools Engineering Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of audio tools that support the development of speech enhancement algorithms and the integration and customization of these algorithms in end user devices and products.
Key Responsibilities
The qualified individual would:
Provide leadership and oversight for the development of audio tools that aid in development, customization and integration of Audience?s algorithms and products
Gather requirements for these tools from stakeholders across different departments as well as customers
Plan, manage and drive their design, implementation, integration, testing and deployment efforts by a diverse cross functional engineering team across multiple sites
Identify, prioritize, schedule and track project activities, identify and mitigate risks proactively
Proactively work with organizations across the company to enable deployment and adoption of these tools
Be responsible for the software architecture and design choices of the various tools
Perform hands-on software development work as needed
Provide technical and managerial guidance to multi-site development team
Experience, Skills and Education Required
Significant experience in application development and debugging for embedded systems
Expert in investigating and debugging of issues reported from the field
Experience managing, leading and guiding diverse teams of engineers
Experienced in setting up project schedules, resource allocation and management
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong C and C++ programming skills; familiarity with MATLAB
Experience with object oriented programming methodologies and templates
Experience with application development using high level languages such as C++ and C# and MFC or similar libraries
Desirable: Experience developing audio streaming applications on the PC using ASIO, DirectSound, or similar protocols
Background in Digital Signal Processing
Experience in developing, implementing and integrating DSP systems for Audio and telecommunications
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
BS with at-least 10 years of experience or MS with 7 years of experience
4+ years of experience in a leadership or management capacity
