Automated Testing / Software Support Engineer
To complement our rapidly growing business we are seeking bright and highly motivated Automated Testing / Software Support Engineers. These position will help forge in the direction of rapid application development and deployment. In this role, you'll not only be responsible for writing automated tests; but, will also work closely with Product Management to define tests for upcoming features, while working alongside Applications Development to insure that these features are completed and tested. Ideal candidates are experienced in testing Web applications along with writing comprehensive automated tests. These positions will be located in
Memphis, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain Automated Test solutions and tools that enhance the overall performance of Mimeo's superior printing systems architecture
- Support and/or perform planning, testing, evaluations, or assessments on work associated with projects or activities for the implementation of appropriate Software Quality Assurance (SQA) requirements consistent with their subject matter expertise
- Contribute to technical projects and product planning, as well as provide strategic direction to Mimeo on trends, techniques, and tools for automated software testing
- Coordinate needs with other areas in the cross functional teams
Required Skills and Experience:
- A passion for automated testing
- BS Degree in software engineering, computer science or related field; at least three (2) years of experience with automated test systems such as Selenium
- Experience creating unit tests for applications using the Visual Studio Unit Testing Framework or comparable testing framework
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct SW development experience required in enterprise level software solutions including designing and developing complex programs from detailed specifications
- Experience with Test Driven Development [TDD] and Lean / Agile development processes; Microsoft MSDN, Microsoft Patterns and Practices, Platform SDK, and TechNet documentation
- Experience with current programming technology such as: WCF, WPF, WF, C#, C#.NET, ASP.NET, MS SQL, and all Microsoft operating systems required
- Experience troubleshooting issues within a production level environment
- Knowledge of MVVM, Client-side scripting (JavaScript, VBScript, AJAX), Graphic Design, HTML, Silverlight, XML, and IIS is a plus; knowledge of JDF, PostScript, PDF, and Print protocols is an additional plus but not required
- Knowledge or experience in cloud based solutions is a plus
- Proven leadership in testing multiple products/services from inception to production; must possess working knowledge of web related service delivery
- Experience in other traditional quality disciplines (such as Quality or Reliability Engineering, Total Quality Management, or Lean Six Sigma) is highly desirable
- Professional demeanor consistent with a fast-paced development centric environment; excellent organizational skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated examples of communicating to audiences at various levels in the organization
