Automation QA Engineer (Ruby/Cucumber) Appia

Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire a very bright and experienced Sr. QA Engineer to join our team on a FT/Permanent basis. The ideal candidate has strong experience with web-based applications in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible for QA on our mobile advertising platform. The individual will interact with business teams and software engineers to refine requirements, thoroughly test changes, correct issues, and coordinate software releases, using their proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work closely with development and operations to understand the application design and ensure that load testing coverage meets and exceeds predicted production level traffic scenarios.
Design and execute load tests based on business and technical requirements
Actively participate in scrum meetings, iteration planning and feature demos.
Communicates testing estimates, status, and continually works toward removing project roadblocks
Coordinate performance defect resolutions with development and business, bringing attention to important issues
Provide your expertise and support to other members of the QA and Dev teams
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years QA experience
Minimum 2 years experience with web technologies and SQL, ideally in a J2EE environment. Advanced SQL skills are a must.
Experience using load testing tools such as WebLOAD, LoadRunner, Siege, Grinder and JMeter.
Competency using various QA tools (scripting, tracing, log analysis, test case management).
Demonstrated experience with front and back end automation tools and techniques.
Experience using Ruby and Cucumber is preferred.
Solid understanding of QA techniques in an Agile environment, as well as an extreme attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards
Exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills. Self-motivated, driven, resourceful and able to get things done.
Love of fast-paced, collaborative, Agile environments. Ability to adapt and learn quickly is a fundamental necessity.
Ability to apply a prioritized approach to testing, to find the most serious issues first.
