Job Description:
FireEye, Inc. has an opening in its Milpitas, California office for a System Automation QA Engineer.
Responsibilities:
This position requires senior software development skills and experience with automation tools and frameworks. Good experience is required with networking, database, web, and cloud services that deliver the FireEye security solution. This person will develop complex object oriented test harnesses that support higher level application test scripts. These automation frameworks support user scenarios for the FireEye security appliance management system. Services to automate include centralized configuration and policy management, malware signature aggregation and distribution, software upgrade, and performance testing.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field experience .
Must well work in a demanding, fast paced team environment engineering automation frameworks not just test scripts.
At least 7-10 years QA work experience testing network equipment such as Web Servers, Proxies, and Firewalls
Ability to quickly design and implement ad hoc networks to explore and exercise network topology issues
3+ years of solid experience in test automation using a scripting language, preferably in Python
Solid experience in MySQL
Competent skills setting up and configuring networking products and client/servers including Linux and Windows systems
Good understanding of object-oriented complex automation frameworks;
Documenting and providing APIs to other engineers for them to use the framework
Experience with test automation 3rd party tools such as open source frameworks such as Selenium, Robot, Smarty, pytest, Python Unittest;
Experience with traffic load generation and shaping tools such as JMETER, Spirent, IXIA, and dummynet
Highly desirable:
Experience with Jenkins, Hudson or Teamcity
Experience with JMETER, Wireshark, IXIA
