Instruct end users in the proper use and maintenance of complex laboratory instrumentation.
Perform and document routine PV (Performance Verification) on Erenna, HydroFlex, Sunrise, Bravo maintenance and participate in troubleshooting the afore-mentioned instrumentation issues.
Ensure maintenance and calibration of lab instruments and equipment.
Assist with service and support requests on-site at the Alameda facility in a timely manner to maximize up-time and sample throughput in the clinical laboratory setting or to assist with the R&D laboratory as needed.
Assist with installation support for laboratory automation equipment.
Track and update root cause documentation and preventative maintenance and post-instrument installation and service.
Insure on time closure and completeness of Service Request and Cases (Salesforce).
Job will occasionally require extended and flexible hours including weekends on an as needed basis.
Strong organizational skills.

Comply with all safety requirements as implemented in the work areas and as required per the job function.
BS or BA in biological sciences, engineering or related field with at least two years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience.
This is an entry level automation and service support position performing duties as part of the internal Systems Integration Group (SIG).
Experience and knowledge supporting Erenna, Tecan Evo and bench top readers/washers technology and/or supporting laboratory automation for use in a regulated environment.
Proven track record of ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deliverables.
Knowledgeable in basic assay design principles, as well as possessing a basic understanding of antibodies and antibody-antigen interactions, including preparation of solutions, buffers and reagent mixtures.
Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word programs is essential.
Experience with GLP and CLIA and regulatory requirements for In-Vitro Diagnostic products desirable.
Assist in development of automated protocols for Singulex testing and Quality Assessment.
Experience with Quality Assurance activities and documentation.
Experience with instrument and small equipment maintenance.
Experience with training of additional laboratory personnel as needed.
Demonstrate skills in areas including policy and procedure manuals, quality control, maintenance of equipment, and process improvement.
Excellent communication and listening skills, and ability to understand and communicate technical scientific information to a wide range of audiences.
Comfortable in a highly automated and service-oriented laboratory.
Ability to work independently and with efficiency.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines, good team approach, good written and oral communication skills, administrative skills, and above-average computer skills.
