B-Cell Immunology Scientist/Sr. Scientist in Antibody Engineering OncoMed Pharmaceuticals

Job Summary:

We are seeking an outstanding, innovative Scientist/Sr. Scientist to join our antibody discovery group. This scientist will play multiple roles within the company's Antibody Engineering Department and will work with a team responsible for antibody discovery from a variety of sources, including hybridoma and in vitro display, as well as antibody expression and characterization.

Requirements:

- Ph.D. with outstanding antibody discovery/engineering publication record
- Post-doctoral experience preferred (industry experience can substitute)
- Solid experience in developing technologies to discover antibodies
- Motivation to learn new scientific techniques and to work in a team environment is necessary
- Ability to think outside the box is key
- Strong desire to work in a dynamic start-up environment is essential
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency working with computers, including database applications
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills a must.
