Back End Developer Crashlytics
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Did you know that mobile apps crash over 1,000,000,000 times a day? It?s a big problem that requires a big engineering effort to solve, and with the explosion of growth in mobile, it's only getting bigger!
We're building software that can tackle this problem head on for our fellow developer/customers and break it down into actionable data that they can use to make their mobile products and services better.
We?re Crashlytics, and we?re helping make mobile apps better for everyone. We provide real-time error detection and analysis for some of the top iPhone and Android apps out there -- and we show developers the line number of code where it all happened so they can fix the problem!
If you want to build and scale a real-time data collection and analysis platform that can get over 1 billion events from millions of mobile devices worldwide, we'd love to talk with you!
You?re smart, get stuff done, have great energy, and thrive in a startup environment.
You?re an expert software developer with experience building systems that scale.
You know at least one mobile / web language like the back of your hand. We work primarily with Ruby, so you?ll either be excited to ramp up on that or excited to continue building awesome things with it.
You want to help architect a platform that wrestles a mobile-scale problem to the ground and makes it easy for developers to build great apps and get feedback on their usage.
In addition, it would be great if?
You?re an active contributor to any open source projects.
You?ve had previous mobile development experience.
You?ve had previous experience working with big data / high scalability issues.
Here's a brief look at a few of the things we value
We love feedback - you?ll be able to connect directly with customers who are using what you?re building and use their input to make the product better.
We?re self-directed - We trust you to manage your own schedule, vacation, etc. without complex policies or forms to fill out.
We ship - we're huge fans of TDD, build/measure/learn, and are moving towards continuous deployment.
We give back - We encourage open source contributions and community participation.
We?re hyper technical - Deep understanding and optimization are in our soul - what can your code accomplish in 18ms?
