Benefits and Compensation Manager Arkadium
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Arkadium, a top game development studio in NYC that develops casual, mobile, social and Windows 8 games, is looking for a smart, detail-oriented team player to join our HR team as a Benefits and Compensation Manager. This role is responsible for the administration and implementation of our current programs and assistance with the designing of new employee benefits. The goal is to ensure that Company benefits support the Company?s business strategy, culture and philosophy and help us attract and retain the best talent!
This role involves you excelling in the following areas:
Manage and administer company benefits
Own benefit portals, handle employee additions/terminations, benefits meetings, manage relationships with external vendors, carriers and brokers
Evaluate plan designs, competitiveness and review cost information for plan renewals
Stay abreast of the changes related to the Health Care reform and insure continuous compliance
Conduct benefits benchmarking across our industry. Make suggestions on how to remain competitive and implement agreed upon suggestions.
Develop communication programs and education tools to enhance the employee?s understanding of benefit programs.
Organize health fair events in the office.
Respond to all employee inquiries regarding benefits and provide a high level of service.
Audit positions to ensure that we are in compliance with exempt/non-exempt laws. Properly categorize all new positions and administer 195.1 forms for all new hires.
Conduct benchmarking of existing pay structure with those of other companies in our space. Recommend and implement changes to ensure that we stay competitive.
Assist with the design of the compensation structure, including pay ranges for all of the disciplines, formulas for merit pay increases and promotion policies.
Conduct quarterly audits of I9 forms, 195.1 forms
Work with the health insurance broker to distribute timely notices to employees regarding health care reform changes, WRAP benefits plans and other legally mandated disclosures.
Keep compliance posters up to date
Keep accurate records of all notices sent, audit results etc. so that we are fully compliant with all applicable laws and prepared in the event of the government audit.
Ad Hoc projects:
This role will also have an opportunity to get involved in an ample amount of exciting and interesting HR projects and initiatives!
What you need, to be successful in this role:
3+ years of relevant benefits and compensation experience, degree in Human Resources is strongly preferred
Superb attention to detail is a must in this role. You operate on an error free policy and always triple check your work to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data.
Due to the nature of the position you will have access to a lot of confidential information. Your coworkers will look to you to keep that information strictly confidential.
It gets busy sometimes. Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities at the same time will keep you composed and efficient even in the times of high pressure.
Professionalism, sound work ethics, and organization skills are imperative for this role.
Experience working with HRIS and ADP payroll provider is a huge bonus.
