Plan, manage, and coordinate human resource activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee benefits, compensation, personnel policies and regulatory compliance.
Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Coordinate and administer the functions of the benefit plans within the parameters of the company?s resources including group insurance, life, medical, vision and dental, accident and disability insurance, 401(k). Coordinate procedures to initiate participation in benefit plans and conducts/coordinates employee information presentations and enrollments. Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Assist employees in filing claims if they have problems
System administrator for benefits system
Maintains job descriptions. Reviews to ensure the criteria meet FLSA standards. Consults with Vice President of HR and supervisors to document changes in duties
Complies with the provisions of COBRA, HIPPA, FMLA and ERISA
Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions
Maintains Organizational Charts
Workers Compensation and Disability - Serves as the central contact person regarding all work-related injuries that involve lost workdays. Produces documentation and communication to track injured employees ability to return to work including processing of hourly/salaried personnel claims for disability and workers compensation claims. Follows up on workers compensation claims for authenticity
Follows up on claims for unemployment to maintain quality and company financial exposure
Oversees administration of the FMLA and disability leave program and processes all paperwork
Work primarily a Monday through Friday work schedule although some Weekends and Holidays may be required
High School Diploma or equivalent with some college
Benefits experience, specifically dealing with medical, disability, 401(k)
Unemployment and Workers Compensation experience preferred
General HR experience preferred
