Overview:
Many opportunities to assist clients with healthcare decisions originate when they contact us with benefits, claim, eligibility, or disability questions. Since we neither establish an employer?s benefit plan, process nor approve/deny claims, we are in a position to work on behalf of the employee to help resolve issues or questions. A strong emphasis is placed on this incumbent?s analytic acumen as well as their ability to be both detail-oriented and service-oriented. Success is defined by having benefit, logistics support, and employer resource data that can be quickly found and understood by our Health
Assistants. This is a critical role in a growing company, suited to someone who is willing to learn and grow as our business scales.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for analyzing Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) from multiple health plans and other source documents and translating information into common structure and seeing that it is accurately loaded into our core desktop application system and web content management tools
Understands complex health benefit language and can simplify for use with our clients
Solicits and quickly responds to feedback from Accolade Health Assistants on how to improve access and understanding of available content
Looks for new types of useful content that can be made available to Health Assistants and can identify opportunities for improving, streamlining and incorporating into existing materials
Responsible for the maintenance and archiving of benefit plan source documentation and other documentation that is leveraged to respond to client inquiries
Business responsibility for ur tools and systems for acquiring, managing, and displaying benefit, logistics, and employer content for Health Assistants and for clients in web channels
Assist in training and supporting people in the use of these processes
Ability to meet deadlines and business value (client experience) objectives
Qualifications:
Strong and broad knowledge of the healthcare industry (specifically medical benefits and claims data), business operations, navigating an SPD, process flows, and supporting tools and technology
Experience in similar knowledge management roles a plus, especially in Health Care industry
Experience with MS Office- Expertise using Word, SharePoint, CRM and Content management/Document Management tools highly desired
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous process improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization
Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic, evolving environment
Demonstrated tactical strength with a compliment of strategic thinking
Equivalent of a Bachelors degree and/or 5+ years progressive experience in related industry ? preferably health care claims administration/operations
