Overview:
This person will work as part of our Claims and Benefits team to provide the information and tools necessary to enable our Health Assists to assist clients who contact us with benefits, claims, eligibility or disability questions. Since we neither establish an employer?s benefit plan, process nor approve/deny claims, we are in a position to work on behalf of the employee to help resolve issues or questions. A strong emphasis is placed on this incumbent?s analytic acumen as well as their ability to be both detail-oriented and service-oriented. Success is defined by having benefit, logistics support, and employer resource data that can be quickly found and understood by our Health Assistants. This is a critical role in a growing company, suited to someone who is willing to learn and grow as our business scales.
Responsibilities:
Assists in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and improving all of our processes, data, and tools used to answer clients? benefit related questions. Activities include:
Demonstrated In-depth, detailed analysis of SPDs (Summary Plan Description)
Demonstrated ability to simplify industry jargon and complex benefit
Providing benefit subject matter expertise
Understand current performance of Benefit processes and identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement
Assist in training and supporting people in the use of these processes
Ability to meet deadlines and business value (client experience) objectives
Supporting the growth of our business by implementing our benefit processes for new customers and integrating with new 3rd party health plans, PBMs, etc.
Qualifications:
Strong and broad knowledge of the healthcare industry (specifically medical benefits and claims data), business operations, navigating an SPD, process flows, and supporting tools and technology
Experience in similar knowledge management roles a plus, especially in Health Care industry
Experience with MS Office- Expertise using Word, SharePoint, CRM and Content management/Document Management tools highly desired
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous process improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization
Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic, evolving environment
Demonstrated tactical strength with a compliment of strategic thinking
Equivalent of a Bachelors degree and/or 5+ years progressive experience in related industry ? preferably health care claims administration/operations
