JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The BI Solutions Architect will perform various tasks as a member of delivery teams supporting both new implementations and production support of financial systems solutions, specifically in the domains of financial planning and reporting. These tasks include the assessment of business requirements, the collection and identification of data and technical requirements, data analysis, prototype and application development, testing and deployment of financial systems solutions. The BI Solutions Architect will be required to analyze client?s existing business processes, envision solutions which leverage the company?s technologies and execute the implementation of these solutions.
The BI Solutions Architect must have experience working with financial systems and reporting, along with an understanding of key BI concepts and technologies (e.g. dimensional data models, ETL, OLAP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborate with clients to develop an overall solution vision and effectively communicate initiatives within the entire project team. This includes but is not limited to: translating business rules, designing dimensional structures and designing and building input and reporting templates.
Analyze business functions in order to either newly develop or modify BI/BPM templates, reporting and information processing systems.
Work closely with the client as part of the delivery team to design, build, and test and implement proprietary application design and BI solutions.
Collect and organize data from various source systems. Analyze data for anomalies and make recommendations for managing data issues.
Maintain an on-going relationship with clients to design, test, refine, and troubleshoot procedures to meet their required specifications.
Create and maintain all documentation needed to create data stores/marts in support of solutions to enable clients to perform their own ad-hoc querying, reporting, and analysis.
Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from clients regarding errors, problems, or questions.
Consult and coordinate with system analysts and developers to design and develop business intelligence and BPM systems and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field is required along with a minimum of 3 years? working experience with financial reporting or a related financial discipline. Experience working with BI tools is preferred but not required.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office, including Excel and Visio is required. Proficiency in Excel is preferred.
Experience with OLAP technologies such as TM1 and SQL is preferred.
