Job Description:

The Cloud Database Engineering (CDE) team at Lingotek is responsible for data modeling, stability and other operational aspects for the databases we host in the cloud.

The CDE team plays a critical role in providing both architectural direction and ongoing operational support on cloud persistence databases for our engineering efforts.

Role:

Senior Software Engineer who can work with the team to improve the overall performance, stability and effectiveness of cloud database systems. Candidate should have a strong background and interest in developing and tuning Cassandra for deployment in AWS cloud-based Cassandra clusters.

Requirements:

Strong object-oriented programming experience with Java
Experience developing high performance Java applications in effect, big data, low latency, and high throughput
Experience with Cassandra Internals
Excellent communication skills



Additionally Desirable:


Scripting language experience
Experience with Amazon AWS development
Exposure to PostgreSQL and RDBMS knowledge.
