As a Big Data Engineer on our Data Science team, you?ll be closely working with analysts and researchers to gain business insight from data. Your will design, implement, and maintain all parts of the big data infrastructure; identify data quality issues and their root cause; implement monitoring tools and data audits to capture and prevent issues in the future; work with product managers and team leads to identify stats requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams on stats implementation, support debugging and generation of reports.
Ideal candidates will posses a strong combination of the following experience:
3-5 years of experience of software-engineering in languages like Java, Python, Ruby, C++
Experience with Hadoop/HDFS and MapReduce frameworks
Understanding of ETL techniques and practices to handle large volumes of data
Experience with visualization, data mining, or statistical tools.
Proficiency in relational databases
Scalable system design
