Newmarket International, Inc., a rapidly growing OnDemand (SaaS) and perpetual licensed software developer with worldwide operations headquartered in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking an accounting professional to assume the role of Billing and Sales Tax Specialist. This position reports to the Revenue Manager.Responsibilities Include:
Reviewing sales contracts and orders for completeness and accuracy and preparing customer billings based on contractual terms using several software applications
Timely and accurate preparations, filing and payment of several sales and use tax returns as well as foreign VAT and GST tax returns.
Investigating billing questions,
Developing a working knowledge of revenue recognition standards
Assisting others with month-end closing activities and ad hoc projects.
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to work effectively with others
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Experience with sales order processing systems, Microsoft Dynamics and or Salesforce.com would be a plus.
