We are seeking a Billing Coordinator out of our New York City Headquarters to provide billing and AR support to SSA & Company and our sister companies. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller. Responsibilities for the role include:
Managing the billing process from start to finish ensuring accurate and timely billing. This includes review and management of client contracts, working with project leads to set up project tracking, drafting and finalizing invoices.
Preparing complex client invoices in line with the clients billing guidelines.
Identifying billing issues and resolving as appropriate.
Coordinating with project leads to determine and document billing ?rules?, communicating with client teams to ensure accurate time tracking.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Regularly following up with client and project leads on collection of invoices.
Comparing actual billings to plan and analyze discrepancies to ensure billings are accurate.
Proactively seeking and providing recommendations to improve existing processes.
Performing other job-related duties as necessary.

4+ years of professional experience (background in management consulting is a plus)
Flexible approach to changing priorities
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or business
Excellent organizational and communications skills, both verbal and written
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization both internal and external
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams
Strong analytical skills with ability to perform respond quickly and accurately under tight deadlines, communicate requirements effectively and produce detailed and accurate work product
High level of initiative and responsibility with a dedication to quality
Minimum overall GPA of 3.2
