Billing Operations Manager RingCentral
The billing system at RingCentral is the fabric that links the provisioning of RingCentral?s products & services to its customers. It is also tightly integrated with a wide variety of applications driving critical business processes for product, finance, sales, and marketing. The role of the Billing Ops Manager will be to oversee and continuously enhance billing processes as it pertains to each organization across the company. This will be the ?go to? person for all things billing at RingCentral. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working with highly scalable billing systems (both on-premise and SaaS) as well as broad familiarity of business processes across organizations (finance, sales, marketing, customer support, etc?). Candidates coming from subscription based businesses in either the SaaS and/or eCommerce industries are a plus.
Conduct in depth vendor evaluations to determine the best billing system enabling rapid growth up market
Drive the end to end life cycle of implementing and deploying a new billing system
Create, maintain, and evolve RingCentral?s catalog of packages, products, tiers, promotions, and discounts
Partner with marketing and product management to run new product strategies supporting up market growth
Partner with finance to integrate and automate business processes pertaining to GL, RevRec, and month end close accounting processes.
Partner with Sales to integrate and automate lead generation to opportunity close sales processes.
Provide in-depth troubleshooting for all billing issues and quickly drive resolutions
Gather both business and technical requirements to continuously enhance billing processes.
Analyze and improve performance, scalability, and long-term stability of overall billing system
Generate reports & dashboards to track and measure overall availability, performance, and business ROI of billing system.
Design and implement data integrations between billing system and other internal/external business systems
Contribute to the design and development of new billing features
Lead offshore resources on billing related projects and initiatives
Manage quarterly roadmaps that drive key company initiatives as they pertain to billing
Required Qualifications & Skills:
5-7 years hands-on managing subscription based billing systems.
2+ years of management experience leading small to medium-sized teams through the development cycles
Experience with both on-premise and SaaS based billing systems.
Experience performing synchronous and asynchronous integrations between on-premise and SaaS business systems
Ability to manage remote teams
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
Extensive hands-on experience working with subscription based billing systems
Ability to effectively lead and work with offshore resources
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Solid understanding of basic finance and accounting concepts
Hands on working with ERP tools such as NetSuite is a plus
Hands-on experience working with SalesForce, marketo is a plus
