The LTC Infusion Billing Specialist is responsible for daily billing of all IV prescriptions and maintaining assigned facility accounts.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for facility accounts, maintaining and billing all related prescriptions.
Updating patient accounts with correct billing information.
Create and Maintain month end spreadsheets.
Responsible for calls from assigned Facilities and patients.
Participates in special projects to identify and implement operational improvements.
Communicates with IV operations and other departments on billing related matters.
Complies and enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.
Customer Focus - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
Other Responsibilities:
Participates in special projects or training to identify and implement operational improvements.
Ability to work with others in a positive productive manner anticipates and responds to the positions areas of responsibilities.
Other duties as directed or assigned.
Specifications
Education:
High School or equivalent required. Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook required, general knowledge and understanding of billing rules desired.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years medical billing desired, previous
LTC Infusion Billing experience preferred. .
Communication:
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language. Also a high degree of problem solving abilities and a strong customer service focus.
Complexity:
Must be dependable with ability to be flexible due to month end requirements, function independently and works under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines. Must have strong organizational, time management skills, ability to problem solve.
Supervision:
This position must exhibit maturity in judgment, will work under the supervision of the LTC Billing Team Lead.
Contact with Others:
High frequency of contact with employees and customers and guests, vendors requires effective interpersonal skills exhibiting a pleasant out-going and caring attitude, the ability to interact positively with a professional attitude and demeanor.
Confidentiality:
This position will be exposed to highly confidential information and data that disclosed would be against Federal and State HIPPA law and contrary to the company?s policies and to professional ethics.
