Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales, the Real Estate Broker will be a core part of Blu?s sales team, with the principal responsibility of generating revenue by uncovering land opportunities and assisting qualified Blu prospects in the identification, evaluation, and purchase of land suitable for building Blu homes. The Broker will be instrumental in helping to build the Blu Homes Real Estate Brokerage network with responsibility for building strong partnerships with local Realtors in Blu?s key markets to acquire the most up to date information on available land and help Realtor partners understand and take advantage of Blu?s referral network programs. This person is expected to work in Blu?s San Francisco office and interface with clients in the Southern CA region.
Candidates should be sharp, mature, down to earth, fun, good communicators, high energy, have a ?sense of urgency?, and excitement and understanding of startup culture. Position requires significant sales experience, great interpersonal skills, and strong facility with technical and quantitative analysis tools. Applicants with an interest or understanding of growing a startup company, and/or experience with high tech companies, are preferred.
This role has the opportunity to become more of a leadership and management position.
Work directly with Blu Sales Consultants to help Blu prospects find land and then act as the ?buyer?s agent? for the purchase of the property;
Develop a land search marketing strategy to uncover land for sale for Blu clients
Establish and grow a network of referral partnerships with Realtors in Southern California
Participate in the development of land search strategy, company business plans, and national growth planning and execution;
Report weekly on learning/market pulse/land opportunities in target markets;
Follow up on qualified ?no land? Blu leads generated from marketing campaigns; Travel to meet with prospective clients in Southern CA;
Prospecting daily to uncover ?off market? land opportunities;
Build network of Realtor partners throughout Southern CA;
Join Local MLS Boards in key Blu Homes markets
Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Blu?s products and process;
Contribute to Blu?s culture, mission and values through thought leadership;
Represent the Blu brand well, internally and externally.
Education: Minimum of a bachelor?s degree in business, finance, marketing, urban planning or similar.
Qualifications & Experience:
Candidate needs to have a minimum of 3-5 years of real estate experience in California. Also having knowledge of the construction process and sustainable building is also a value add. Employee must have and maintain a real estate brokerage license in the State of California. Employee will work in and help build a brokerage company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blu Homes. Employee must generally work out of our San Francisco office and have transportation.

Extensive knowledge of California Association of Realtors forms and California Real Estate laws/regulations

Compensation: Base salary plus commission. Other compensation includes stock options and competitive benefits package.
