Good Start Genetics is seeking a Board Certified Genetic Counselor.We seek a highly motivated individual who is a Board Certified Genetic Counselor, eligible for licensure in the state of Massachusetts to work with the staff of our CLIA-regulated, clinical molecular genetics laboratory.
Hours: M-F 10:30 AM ? 7:00 PM (office hours negotiable; but willingness to provide west coast coverage is highly preferred).
Responsibilities:
Discuss benefits and limitations of diagnostic testing and test results with physicians, genetic counselors, and other health professionals.
Provide genetic counseling (by phone or electronic media) to patients ? pre-test, post-test and donor counseling.
Works with the Medical Directors and Genetic Counselor Assistants to review and release patient result reports.
Supports Marketing and Sales internal and external educational initiatives.
Supports Sales visits to client sites ? makes presentations and participates in clinical Q&A.
Seeks and supports new and innovative ways to provide best in class service to GSG?s clients.

Requirements:
Board certified (ABMG or ABGC) genetic counselor
Eligible for a Massachusetts genetic counselor license
Ability to travel within the US (2-5 days per month)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity working in a CLIA laboratory setting
Previous experience working with prenatal or infertility testing
High attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience presenting scientific information to lay people and physicians.
