Good Start Genetics is seeking a Board Certified Molecular Laboratory Director. We seek a highly motivated individual who is Board Certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics (the position may be full-time, part-time or contractor based on availability of the candidate).Responsibilities:
Review and sign out patient results with the highest possible accuracy and quality
Work with the other Laboratory Directors to ensure timely and accurate result reporting
Work with the Laboratory Management team to ensure the Quality activities of the laboratory are maintained
Discuss benefits and limitations of diagnostic testing and test results with physicians, genetic counselors, and other health professionals
Seek and support new and innovative ways to provide best in class service to GSG?s clients
Support internal and external company initiatives.

Requirements:
M.D. or Ph.D. in a biological science
Board certified in Clinical Molecular Genetics
New York State Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
1- 2 years of experience working as a Clinical Molecular Genetics Laboratory Director
Previous experience working with prenatal or infertility testing
High attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience presenting at scientific meetings and writing abstracts.
