Board Manufacturing Test and Product Engineer Tilera

Tilera has developed a range of products to enable multi-core appliances that require high performance and low power in a cost effective platform. Combining a highly integrated, single chip processor with a line of acceleration cards and a complete suite of development tools require cutting edge manufacturing test and diagnostics methodologies. In this key role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the Tilera manufacturing process flows meet the customers? demanding mission critical reliability and quality expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the high level manufacturing test, yield and cost strategy for the Tilera board and system products.
Provide on-site support for pre-production builds at Contract Manufacturer (CM) to include driving pre-production factory readiness, supporting product bring-up and gathering feedback on "design for x" and yield issues.
Own coordination of new product releases and establish test coverage requirements for manufacturing test process.
Support Systems Design Engineering DVT (Design Validation Testing).
Debug and repair systems and cards that fail in the manufacturing process.
Develop and/or maintain test specifications and documentation.
Collaborate with system design team to ensure maximum benefit of DFT.
Work with CM to develop a test harness and flow for Burn-In of cards and systems.
ECO (Engineering Change Order) generation, implementation and document management.
Own failure analysis by helping to define targeted test code to isolate failures.
Mentor and coach junior engineers and technician.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
B.S or M.S. in EE or CS
5+ yrs of experience working in the areas of manufacturing board and system level test.
Knowledge of BOMs
Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
Experience with Hardware bring up, debug and other types of HW exposure.
Experience developing test procedures, both manual and automated.
Experience with test automation tools and methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams and leadership capabilities.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, test flows and new product introduction.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE:
Experience with C or C++
Focused and able to work to tight schedules in a start-up environment.
Knowledge of Linux environment: admin level tools and software development tools.
Experience with the following technologies: High performance computing, Mission critical systems, GPUs, PCIE, Memory controllers, Networking, Processor support and chip sets, Multi-processor and multi-threaded concepts and programming, test automation.
