Zipcar is looking for a smart, witty, all-round incredible Brand and Content Copywriter to join the award-winning, in-house Creative team. (Was that too many prepositions in a row? Probably.) Reporting to the Associate Creative Director of Copy, our new team member will be responsible for conceiving, writing, editing, and executing breakthrough, communications for the Zipcar brand.
We?re looking for a creative, consumer-focused storyteller with a deep passion and ability for painting pictures with words. We need a strong team member who also has a point of view, unique and fresh ideas and is not afraid to speak up and share them.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Copywriter must be a well-rounded juggler with a great attitude.
Day to day, the Copywriter will be responsible for writing on-strategy, on-time, and exceptional creative work for the Brand, Acquisition, Member Retention and Content teams.
As a part of the Brand Team, the Copywriter will be a key contributor to the Content Strategy. He/she will write blog articles and collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager on big ideas for our Online Magazine (videos, infographics, clever, witty and thoughtful blog articles, as well as other out-of-the box approaches.)
The Copywriter should also be a strong editor as he/she will review and edit blog articles submitted by other marketing team members and external freelancers to ensure the writing is engaging and compelling, error-free and on-brand for Zipcar.
Branding work will include online and offline deliverables ? so you must be comfortable writing for digital as well as traditional environments
Mentor junior staff members to ensure highest quality work at all levels and support opportunities for development
Bachelor?s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or similar. (Portfolio school graduate a plus)
5-7 years experience in advertising, marketing, journalism or brand content creation, preferably on a creative team in an agency or agency-style environment, or an online publication
Required: Superior strategic thinking, superb writing and editing ability, wit, irreverence, confidence, keen eye for detail, grammar and style, and a deep passion for connecting with our 850,000-strong Zipster community
Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, positive and innovative thinker.
Highly motivated and a high level of initiative, ability to work independently in support of creative goals and business objectives.
Ability to get other people excited about your ideas and sell them in
Ability to perform under tight deadlines
A strong portfolio of creative that demonstrates originality, innovation,
problem solving, and personal expression.
