Description The Brand Manager is a strategic thinker and marketer, responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading marketing efforts for the school meals program. Healthy school meals represent the central core and mission of Revolution Foods and comprise the vast majority of the business revenue. This is a new role at Revolution Foods, and it will require a strong leader with an entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit to be successful in the role. Key responsibilities include leading the development of Revolution Foods? brand strategy and positioning in the competitive marketplace; prioritizing product development priorities for school meals business based on consumer insight; supporting the annual sales and execution plan; making recommendations for the school program to meet financial objectives; initiating, planning and coordinating the development and execution of marketing communications, programs, and packaging initiatives and measuring their success; structuring and conducting market and consumer/customer research; and developing marketing and sales materials for use in external communications. We are seeking candidates with strong brand management experience, with a particular focus on consumer brands/services.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
Own and develop the strategy for school meal program marketing, product development, communication, and oversee the rollout; engage early and throughout new program and platform development to ensure a smooth and effective promotion strategy, rollout planning, and implementation.
Analyze menu and participation data ? evaluate factors impacting individual item sales and overall menu mix profitability.
Identify and articulate the features & benefits & value proposition of Revolution Foods school meals program vs. competitors.
Proactively and thoughtfully gather consumer (both school decision maker & student) insights and satisfaction.
Analyze existing market penetration & segmentation. Partner closely and effectively with market leaders and sales teams in each of our 7 (and growing!) markets, and Home Office Marketing Managers.
Conduct primary research with consumer & customers to ensure messaging & product are consistent with their needs and values. Identify new product, meal, & platform needs.
Perform routine and strategic competitive analysis through lenses such as S.W.O.T.
Foster effective key cross functional relationships with Product Development, Sales, Operations/Customer Service, Brand Experience/Communications, Market Leaders, and Finance.
Engage closely with sales leadership team and inform annual sales strategy development.

MBA or comparable degree.
Advanced Excel skills and highly competent with a variety of analytical tools such as Salesforce.
3-5 years of experience as a successful Brand Manager, ideally in a Consumer Packaged Goods organization; relevant children?s or K-12 marketing, food, or nutrition experience is also preferred, but not required.
A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives, with a great balance of big-picture thinking and detailed execution.
Proven competence in developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships.
Experience in a national, multi-unit business structure preferred.
Comfort and competence engaging with inner city school environments and school partners.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing multiple projects, in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and thought-leadership.
Deep familiarity with product development, packaging development, and market research processes, as well as financial management in a product/brand context.
Willing & able to travel to all current and future markets.
