What We're Looking For:
The Brand Marketing Manager will:
Work closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing to execute tactical marketing programs and plans for the brands of 2U's partners. This includes, but is not limited to: direct response, student conversion and retention initiatives, public relations, social media, brand development, etc.
Develop, with the Sr. Director of Marketing?s input and oversight, creative briefs required for brand marketing programs and plans.
Coordinate the workflow and oversee execution of marketing driven webinars and in-person events to include invitations, RSVPs, presentation materials, schedule pre-post surveys, while collaborating with the appropriate teams such as admissions, campus-recruiting and operations.
Work closely with the lead generation team to traffic all creative assets requested such as subject lines, email copy, banners, etc.
Work collaboratively with the social media teams to research and develop regular and timely blog content and infographic concepts for inbound marketing initiatives.
Develop and keep updated a marketing calendar of all marketing tactics and programs across all channels such as social media, email, advertising, etc.
Assist Sr. Director of Marketing to ensure email marketing and drip campaign strategies and tactics are executed and regularly updated, and coordinate with the admissions, email and analytics teams to get sign-off, and to ensure effective A/B testing for subject lines, creative and content.
Work with the Sr. Director of Marketing to identify possible opportunities for PR/branding at major industry events, organizations, websites, etc. that can leverage the lead generation team's existing relationships or help identify potential new ones.
Provide event support for marketing driven events including events scheduled by the Director of Campus Recruiting.
Develop project plans and/or processes to drive efficiency and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Work on other projects to support the Brand Marketing Team.
The selected candidate will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing. The candidate will also have an excellent background in project management to play a leading role to ensure that brand marketing projects are delivered on time and on budget. Ideally s/he will be familiar with email marketing best practices and understand the importance of big data and its application. S/he must be able to thrive on constant change, be self-motivated, personable, and goal-oriented.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 3-5 years consumer marketing experience or direct response marketing.
Must have breadth of experience across online and offline marketing tactics to include email, social media marketing, display advertising, SEO, webinars, collateral, etc.
Must be highly organized and have great attention to detail.
International work experience is a plus.
Agency account management is a plus.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work on cross-functional teams.
Ability to think out of the box and find creative, unorthodox solutions when needed.
Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Must be able to take direction and while also driving his/her projects without a lot of oversight.
