The Build Engineer is responsible for working with a R&D team to drive the Continuous Integration build process for Greenway products. Position will report to Director of Technical Services.Key Accountabilities:
Manage the Application Lifecycle using TFS this includes managing continuous build, test and deploy processes.
Manage TFS code repository. Maintain and improve practices of branching, code merge, etc.
Troubleshoot compile and build failures, and facilitate resolution.
Manage the release of software components into QA, Staging and Production environments.
Establish process control points and configure TFS reporting suite to custom needs of the development team
Improve speed, efficiency and scalability of the continuous integration environment, automating wherever possible.
Create and maintain continuous integration process documentation.
Work closely with leads to drive standards
Skills Summary:
Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
2 + years experience in administering TFS and branching policies.
Strong knowledge of VS2010
Experience with Continuous Build & Integration tools and techniques
Willing to work after hours when needed and able to be part of an on call rotation
Proficient in VB.Net, C#, Silverlight, Powershell 2.0, Automation of Windows 2003 & 2008 administration tasks, MSBuild, and Windows Workflow
Working knowledge of T-Sql, Sql Server, IIS 6.0 & 7.0 and COM+
An interest in the metrics that can be usefully extracted from large development groups.
Self motivated
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Detail oriented
Outstanding organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Assist with planning/maintenance of development, integration and testing environments.
Produce build-related documentation including diagrams of the build process and development environments.
