The Job:
Gemvara is seeking an experienced Build/Release Engineer to join our innovative team of Me-Commerce revolutionaries. As a Build/Release Engineer you will be responsible for all product build, release, administration, automation, development and maintenance. You may also be tasked with occasionally firing a Nerf gun or finding comics to add to the xkcd wall.
Gemvara uses Java, C#, csh, bash, Perl, Python, Groovy, Hudson, Perforce, Maven, Ant, Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, MySQL, and Windows and Linux platforms. What You'll Do:
You will be responsible for build and release of all applications into multiple environments
You will develop and maintain an automated build and release management system
You will develop engineering automation scripts
Skills You'll Need To Be Successful:
Hands on experience with the entire software product development life cycle, including the build, release and QA process
Experience with web e-commerce applications
The ability to communicate and be a great teammate
The capacity to think like an owner
Comfortable taking risks and making mistakes
Excellent ability to create opportunities to innovate
A desire to always be testing and learning
A passion and consideration for the customer and his or her WOW experience
College degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience
A minimum of four (4) years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience or related development
The tendency to not take yourself too seriously
