As a member of the Operations team, the Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the business community and the Operations organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possess expertise in the business supported, as well as, an understanding of the organization's systems and capabilities. Lead projects from initial requirements and business justification, through to delivering projects on time, within budget and meeting the strategic business requirements. The roles primary focus is to provide a business unit with a point of contact to manage application initiatives, support, break fixes and projects for the business area.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, Business Administration or related fields or equivalent experience.
Core Responsibilities
Work with non-technical business users to document detailed business requirements.
Identify gaps between the current system capabilities and the business requirements, determines if enhancements to the applicable system(s) and interfaces to other Vocalocity applications are necessary, designs solutions to fill those gaps and works with technical leads to build solutions for those requirements.
Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for Operations, Business, Engineering and manages changes to them.
Estimate work effort and builds a business case for specific enhancements.
Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Identify and drive improvements in the use of process, systems and data for the Customer Experience and operational efficiencies for servicing the Customer.
Educate and align Operations and Customer Care organization on the direction of the business and vice versa to partnering departments.
Perform project management activities on assigned projects as needed.
Create and update application living documentation for all applications for assigned business area.
Manage requests for assigned business area, gather detailed business requirements and turn requirements into functional specifications for application enhancements and new projects.
Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders.
Analyze complex issues quickly and choose best solutions and course of action.
Manage multiple tasks and priorities as well as expectations.
