This dynamic Professional Services team offers highly-challenging positions for the right people, and an excellent opportunity to join a company with an established product line and a rapidly growing customer base. We are looking for bright, creative, technical and responsible individuals with an excellent track record of accomplishments. The business analyst performs a critical role in all Attensity implementations acting as the key business consultant to help customers fully realize the potential and application of a text analytics solution. This is a consultative position on the implementation team. This person must be able to gain the trust and respect of customer team members in understanding their business and applying technology to solve business problems.
Requirements of the Position
- Work closely with the customer to identify and map business processes to Knowledge Engineering and Text Aggregation rules (experience with developing ontologies a big plus
- Analyze and diagnose key decision support needs of customers and then develop and implement business reports and data hierarchies using Attensity text analytics technology
- Develop text analysis expertise and contribute to Attensitys Center of Excellent (COE)
- Assist in the development of best practices and tool kits
- Travel Required
- Industry experience in:
Retail, Travel & Transportation,
Finance, Insurance & Healthcare,
Communication Media Entertainment Hospitality
Manufacturing & Energy
Technology
Telecommunications
Qualifications
- Strong business analysis skills required
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools, Business Objects preferred
- Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Skills
- BI report design and development within Microstrategy, Business Objects or Cognos (in order of priority)
- Ability to assess client business challenges and deliver high quality solutions using Attensity technology and services
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organized and motivated
Pluses
- Management consulting / IT consulting experience
- Computational Linguistics experience
- Experience developing ontologies or information hierarchies
Education:
- BS degree in MIS or Business Management, MBA with MIS or Management concentration preferred but not required
