Under direction of the Director, Connectivity Solutions, the Business Analyst is responsible for business requirements analysis and documentation. This includes identifying business needs and developing solutions to business problems using existing or new technology. He/she will provide key analytical and documentation support to the team. He or she will consider business applications currently being used which may or may not be working.
Participate in the development, implementation and support of Availity?s payer data as directed by the Director, Connectivity Solutions
Writes business requirements documentation in support of Availity?s payer data
Works on smaller projects
Prepares detailed written documentation that is professional in appearance, using appropriate templates
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (Required)
Minimum of 3 years related experience in a technology (information exchange) and/or health care environment.
Experience working with healthcare and/or internet applications.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, supporting internal and external business partners.
Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Ability to work under pressure. Maintains composure and professionalism in an interrupt-driven environment. Must be able to multi-task.
Strong Microsoft applications experience, specifically Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access
Must be flexible and embrace change.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION (Required)
Bachelors preferred. Equivalent work experience considered
