Role Profile
The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities associated with delivering MedeAnalytics? hosted business analytics services. Working directly with an Implementation Project Manager (IPM) on multiple accounts, the BA will provide support for the successful implementation of MedeAnalytics? products and execution of all client services, including technical implementation, training, enhancements, and ongoing support. This position will report directly to the Director Project Implementation, or designee, and will have a project based reporting relationship with the implementation project manager. The BA will be a key contributor in our rapidly evolving customer based services organization. The candidate must be a highly organized, energetic person who can think strategically and translate business objectives into project plans and technical designs.
The BA is responsible for detailed client analyses, solution recommendation support, and solution implementation. The focus of their work is on large acute-care facility processes and solutions that span the healthcare revenue cycle. The BA is responsible for the coordination of technical requirements and specifications throughout the project life cycle and coordination between implementation and process consulting.
The Business Analyst will work closely with internal team members and client representatives, including client personnel. Contacts frequently contain confidential/sensitive information necessitating discretion at all times. Interactions will range from routine to complex and include presentations, one-on-one and group discussions. Strong oral and written communication capabilities are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with the Project Manager to support all aspects of the MedeAnalytics solution and services:
Perform client business analytics of solution data to assist IPM in identifying areas of priority value focus and/or opportunity for return on investment
Assist implementation team as required during application enhancements with new product implementations, and/or application upgrades
Assist IPM as required with planning, testing, and/or final delivery to client
Assist IPM team in service request submissions, technical specifications creation, coordination of required resources to support implementation and communication with client IT and internal stakeholders
Participate & facilitate project coordination, discussion, and status meetings
Manage external/internal project expectations; escalate and mitigate project issues
Manage client data transfer process to ensure application is properly updated & operational for client usage
Understand and monitor the quality and integrity of client?s source system data. Perform analysis and manage enhancements to improve the quality and performance of the data being extracted from source systems
Utilize technical knowledge and experience to assist the IPM in building close relationships with client?s IT resources in order to facilitate the identification and implementation of performance and process improvements in the areas of FTP, ETL, data structure, and business processing
Perform client business analytics of solution data to assist IPM in identifying areas of priority value focus and/or opportunity for return on investment
Coordinate solution testing, deployment, training, and post-implementation support transition plan to account management team
Lead software implementation projects including data analytics, configuration, installation, and validation
Monitor customer utilization and develop strategies to increase usage and adoption of the application within the account
Continually assess, document, and analyze client gains in efficiency and effectiveness
Constantly educate clients on MedeAnalytics? value to their business needs
Understands MedeAnalytics tools and client IS system functionality
Train and mentor Business Analyst team members
Other responsibilities and functions as required
Essential Skills, Experience and Education:
A minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare MIS, software project management and/or software development
Knowledge of project management methods, processes, standards, and tools
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the development of customer reports, proposals, presentations and training/communications materials
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Previous customer/client service background
Functional design and data analysis skills
Outstanding problem solving and organizational skills
Previous experience with a hosted software solution or ASP based model a plus
Strong client-facing communication skills
Special Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (transcript provided upon request)
Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
