Tesla is currently seeking Business Analyst- SAP FI to join our team in Palo Alto, CA.
The Role:
The Business Analyst- SAP FI will work with the finance end users to develop solutions, troubleshoot system problems and review new applications to support the finance community. Working with the broader SAP business analyst team, this business analyst will also be responsible for gathering requirements and understanding integration points between finance and other development areas to ensure successful execution of projects and initiatives across different functions within the company.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience using SAP FI modules and sub-modules including:
- General Ledger (FI-GL)
- Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
- Accounts Receivable (FI-AR)
- Bank Accounting (FI-BL)
- Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
- Consolidation
- Banking and Tax Interfaces
- Strong knowledge of FI/CO interfaces to SD and MM.
- Provide systems and operational support of SAP Financials modules and related SAP processes, including periodic on-call support and resolution of critical/time bound issues
- Assist in all necessary phases for support and enhancements - including functional requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional and technical design specifications, development/configuration activities, execution of appropriate unit test scenarios to ensure solution integrity.
- Collaborate with other technical staff to research, evaluate, develop, test and implement new and/or currently unused functional and technical solutions to enhance the value of business systems
- Collaborate and communicate across a wide variety of audiences within the technical organization and business end-user community
- Manage multiple and competing priorities
- Experience in Vertex Tax Implementation
- Assist with IT-related Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including control assessments and system documentation requirements
- Effectively interact with business stakeholders to implement technology choices
- Ability to lead and effectively facilitate meetings
Qualifications:
- BS or equivalent in Information Systems or Accounting/Finance. Preference to CPA/MBA.
- SAP FI Module and sub-modules
- SAP implementation experience strongly preferred
- Experience in pan-European VAT issues and SAP set up a strong plus
- Background experience in Accounting policies and procedures
- Strong problem solving skills to resolve issues across systems
- The ability to work effectively as a member of a team with strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to articulate and successfully implement proposed solution
- The ability to work independently
- Desire to learn new SAP modules
