The Business Analyst (BA) reports to the Director, Solution Lifecycle Management and is responsible
for defining and prioritizing the business needs of one or more of Streamline Health?s solution lines.
The BA will gather and analyze requirements for impact on existing functionality, create low- and
high-fidelity mock-ups, and conduct client requirement review sessions. The Business Analyst
actively participates on one or more cross-functional scrum teams collaborating with team members
to steer development into alignment with business goals defined by the Solution Manager. The BA
captures technical requirements during each sprint to maintain the functional requirements model
used by the testers, support, and for analysis of requested enhancements. The Business Analyst
serves as a source of knowledge for other departments and is the subject matter expert in the
solution(s) he supports.
? Collaborate with the Solution Manager, business stakeholders, and scrum team members to
understand the solution vision and roadmap and transfer that into the solution backlog.
? Define detailed user stories with relevant acceptance criteria in collaboration with Solution
Manager and team.
? Work closely with the Solution Manager to create and manage the solution backlog of
clearly defined and prioritized user stories.
? Facilitate user story sizing sessions with the scrum team.
? Maintain the requirements model; extract functional requirement specifications to support
business process requirements.
? Assist with management of client requests (analysis, prioritization, entry into backlog).
? Provide subject matter expertise for development of training material, support training
team in learning new features and fixes.
? Assist with development work during sprints, including test case definition, testing and, if
skills allow, coding tasks.
? Evangelize the agile framework within the organization.Business Analyst

? 5+ years of business analyst experience.
? 3+ years of Healthcare IT industry experience.
? Relevant industry experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics software is a plus.
? Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent
relevant work experience.
? Professional certifications a plus: CCBA, CBAP, PMI-BA, CSM, PMI-ACP.
? Previous experience working in an agile development environment.
? Ability to create user stories, process flows (UML), and wireframes in order to clearly
communicate a set of functional requirements.
? Excellent at conducting requirement gathering sessions and then concisely documenting
? Superior analytic skills, including raising and resolving miss-use cases and impact analysis.
? Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate findings of analysis.
? Proven experience managing and prioritizing a backlog of team work.
? Outstanding attention to detail, with a focus on delivering quality output.
? Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; ability to speak knowledgeably with
members of both the business and development teams.
? Strong teamwork, interpersonal, relationship, and presentation skills.
? Solid understanding of web development environments, sufficient to understand the
implications of issues within web-based applications.
? Desire to take ownership, creatively solve problems, and pro-actively secure the objectives
of the business.
? Must be able to travel up to 10%.
? Experience with Team Foundation Server and IBM Rational DOORS a plus.
? Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word.
? Ability to travel in and out of cars and planes, and carry your luggage and laptop during
travel to client locations across the US and Canada.
