The Healthcare Business Analyst must have knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically, the health plans. The analyst is required to review and interpret data from a variety of HealthHelp sources with emphasis on the deliverables of the Product department?s healthcare program reports. Analyst utilizes a variety of tools and techniques from conceptualization through presentation of the data, to develop and prepare information deliverables for internal and external customers, up to and including presentations, dashboards, and documents. This role requires proficiency with analytical tools, knowledge of data analysis methodologies and strong communication and presentation skills. While assessing the requirements of the client?s organization with respect to its operations and functions, this role is responsible for business case definitions, in-depth analysis as well as translation and simplification of data and processes, according to the business needs of the clients that are serviced through the Client Services department. Healthcare Business Analyst will analyze HealthHelp?s program reports, metrics and other data, to prepare reports for specific clients that are assigned to Healthcare Business Analyst; which include visualizations such as graphs, charts and dashboards, detailing the significant results Healthcare Business Analyst have deduced.
Essential Skills, Specifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in healthcare, statistics, math or actuarial science or epidemiology
Analyze archival data from a health care perspective relating to claims trends
Analyze clinical data using statistical approaches such as longitudinal analysis, mixed effect modeling, logistic regression analyses and model building techniques.
Gather and interpret relevant data and information-claims, utilization trends, medical expenses, etc.
Prepare statistical data for inclusion in reports to data analysts, managers, and clients
Use statistical models to analyze data and calculate the probability of savings associated with certain programs
Write detailed analysis plans and descriptions of analyses and findings for research protocols and reports
Prepare presentations, reports, tables, graphs, and observations to present clinical/consult/claims data or results
Participate in internal and client presentations relating to analysis and reporting
Model the impact of potential changes-?what would happen if??
Determine project plans, timelines and technical objectives for special projects
Respond to client data inquiries and concerns; addressing issues promptly
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
