Reporting to the Product Manager for OpenHire, our social recruiting software product, the Business Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting the product?s strategic plan. As such, you will specifically assist the Product Manager in identifying the application?s functional requirements and ensuring they are successfully implemented. You will be responsible for documenting business requirements, reviewing technical specifications and test cases, assisting with problem resolution tasks, and working directly with support, implementation, development and quality assurance groups to achieve defined strategic objectives.
The Business Analyst will have an opportunity to provide an authoritative source of knowledge about the business and shape development of new features of the OpenHire system. The candidate should have experience with web based software applications. Working experience in the human resources industry as well as customer relationship management is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Product Manager to ensure strategic objectives are known;
Analyze existing features and identify areas for improvement;
Prepare documentation detailing product?s functional requirements;
Review technical specifications prepared by Development to ensure functional requirements are met;
Review test cases prepared by Quality Assurance to ensure use cases are accounted for
Perform user acceptance testing;
Work with Support, Training, and Services groups to provide guidance and information about product functionality.
Required Skills
Works well independently or within a group and can easily collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g, Development, Product Management, QA, Implementation Services, Support, Training);
Self-motivated, organized and process oriented, able to work on multiple projects in parallel;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Self-motivated; fast learner,
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Required Experience
Bachelor?s Degree, preferably in Business, Human Resources or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience;
Minimum of one year of experience in an analytical role;
Experience writing detailed specifications including swimlanes, flow charts, wireframes/ mock-ups, and use case documentation.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in web-based enterprise solutions a plus;
Background in human resources business processes and human resources software;
Experience with globalization requirements for software.
